See Change Education (the “Company” and referred to together as “our”, “we”, or “us”) respects personal privacy and pledges to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (“PDPO”).

The Company will collect certain personal information when you visit (the “Website”) or apply, enquire, submit or amend the following services through our Website:

A. Enquire or Services Subscription

We collect Personal Data from our Website visitors on a voluntary basis. Personal data, including your name, home and email addresses, contact number, preferences, interests, your child’s current and previous academic background such as school or interest classes, your child’s date of birth (the “Personal Data”), will be collected when you subscribe to use our services or make any enquiry on our Website. Personal Data collected will be used only for the purposes defined below and the purposes we specified at the time when we invite you to provide your Personal Data.

“Purposes” as used in the document include course delivery, event organization, marketing.

In the event that any such Personal Data is not provided, we may not be able to provide you with the services or carry out the activities above.

B. Use of Personal Data and Data Security

i. We will keep Personal Data confidential and will not pass your Personal Data to any other third party; provided however that we may provide such information to our consultants, business partners, service providers, subsidiaries and associated companies and theirs consultants, business partners and service providers or any agent authorized by us to process Personal Data for the purposes we specified at the time of collection.

ii. Your Personal Data will be maintained securely after we have obtained them. Only our authorized staff, who has been properly trained, will be permitted to access to such Personal Data on a need-to-know basis. We will also ensure compliance by our staff with the strictest standards of security and confidentiality.

iii. Your Personal Data will be disposed once it is no longer required for the purposes we specified at the time of collection.

iv. If you enquire or join our business partners’ product or services, your personal data may be transferred to such business partners (whether education within or outside the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Hong Kong”)), consisting of education service providers, tutors, their representative and related parties; and your personal data will be used, processed and stored in accordance with that business partner or service provider’s privacy policy, which is outside our control.

C. Transfer of Personal Data Outside Hong Kong

i. If necessary, the Company may transfer the personal data to places outside Hong Kong for carrying out the purposes, or the directly related purposes, for which the personal data were collected. All the transfer of those personal data will be carried out in compliance with the requirements of the PDPO.

D. Access and Correction of Personal Data

i. Under the PDPO, you have the right to request access and the correction of your Personal Data. If you wish to request access or make corrections to your Personal Data, you should send your written request to our Data Protection Officer at [email protected].

E. Direct Marketing

i. With your prior consent, from time to time, the Company may use your personal data to send you news, offers, promotions and marketing offers with education programs or services. The Company may contact you by email, in-app notifications, social media, SMS, text/picture/video message, telephone, mail or fax.

ii. If you prefer not to receive any direct marketing communications from us or our marketing partners, you can opt out at any time by sending a request to [email protected] for the attention of our Data Protection Officer. Upon receipt of your request, we shall cease to so use your personal data as soon as possible without charge to you.

This policy only applies to our Website. Our Website may contain links to other sites and pages. By activating a link, such as for example by clicking on the banner of an advertiser, you leave our Website and the Company does not exercise control over any personal data or any other information you give to any other entity after you have left our Website.
